 As ações da APIS são orientadas por dois eixos principais, que se complementam:

  • EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL
  • ARTE-EDUCAÇÃO E CULTURA TRADICIONAL

 No primeiro eixo - Educação Ambiental - há diversas estratégias que planejamos colocar em prática:

1. Disponibilizar livros e outras fontes de informação sobre meio-ambiente e educação-ambiental e convidar especialistas para trocar idéias e experiências com moradores da Vila de Picinguaba
2. Organizar cursos, palestras e oficinas temáticos, atendendo a demanda e interesse da comunidade de moradores de Picinguaba
3. Criar cadernos didáticos e informativos relacionados às questões ambientais proeminentes de Picinguaba
4. Realizar visitas a locais turísticos semelantes à Picinguaba para verificar in loco a doação ou não de práticas sustentáveis e de preservação do meio-ambiente; avaliar as consequências decorrentes dessas ações; acreditamos que o contato direto e conversas informais sensibilizam as pessoas e despertam a consciência sobre a importância da questão ambiental.
5. Trabalhar sempre que possível em parceria com a Escola Local, direcionando ações às crianças.
6. Desenvolver oficinas arte-educativas com pessoas de toda as idades, que envolvam uma reflexão sobre a necessidade de preservamos o meio-ambiente.
 

 

Here is a summary of this month's action:

An environmental specialist and friend, LUCHO JAMMES, is spending a few weeks in Picinguaba, and we have conducted classes to show how to organize in every house who wishes:

  • Organic compost to limit waste recycling
  • Septic fossa
  • Dry bathroom
  • Solar oven

Photooiseaux Technical assistance as well as possible financing assistance will be avaible from the APIS to encourage the local community to use those technics with the objective to better as much as possible the waste situation in Picinguaba.

We are as a test implementing cleaning this week a natural water cleaning system with weeds (that we collect ourselves in the the rivers).

We are organizing with the local association of Vila Picinguaba a recycling structure for the wastes of the village. This is very challenging due to the distance from main cities and cost implied.

The APIS is realizing a shopping bag with its logo, in cotton, to be given to the local families for using instead of plastic bags. We will also put some for sale at a bargain price at the local supermarket in town.
